Rycote Modular Windshield WS 2 Kit
The industry standard when a full windshield kit is required. The fully moduar system can be configured to allow almost any microphone to be shock-mounted and provided with varying degrees of windshielding. The full range of components is available or can be ordered as part of standard kits where parts can be interchanged as required to provide wind protection for almost any type of mic.
The suspension provides complete isolation from handling, boom or cable borne noise by supporting the microphone using Lyre suspensions.
The windshield basket completely surrounds the microphone and it's connector and provides up to 25dB of wind noise attenuation. In addition this rycote kit includes a Windjammer (synthetic fur cover that fits perfectly over the Windshield) and gives an aditional 10dB of wind noise reduction.
The Windjammer introduced by Rycote in 1985, is high quality synthetic fur covers, designed to fit perfectly over the Modular Windshield. It gives an additional 20dB of wind noise attenuation. Fitted with a drawstring & toggle to allow snug and easy fitting. Modular Windshield Kits, including zipped Windjammer are also available on request.
